Tolperisone 450mg is a centrally acting muscle relaxant used to relieve painful musculoskeletal muscle spasm and stiffness. It can support movement when excessive muscle contraction contributes to pain.
How to use
Take the sustained-release tablet after a meal and swallow it whole with water. Do not crush or chew it because the release design is intended to spread delivery over time. Do not substitute immediate-release tablets by tablet count.
How it works
Tolperisone reduces excessive reflex activity in the central nervous system, partly through effects on sodium and calcium channels. This helps relax abnormally tense skeletal muscle.
Side effects
Muscle weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea and abdominal discomfort may occur. Hives, wheezing, facial swelling or a sudden blood-pressure fall may indicate serious hypersensitivity.
Important information
Previous tolperisone reactions and myasthenia gravis are important before use. Kidney or liver impairment can affect tolerability. Avoid driving if weakness or dizziness occurs, and do not assume that all muscle relaxants are interchangeable.

Rapidly developing rash with breathing difficulty, swelling or faintness can represent a serious allergic reaction.
