Ondansetron 8mg Mouth-Dissolving Tablets are antiemetics for selected chemotherapy-, radiotherapy- and surgery-related nausea and vomiting. The tablet dissolves on the tongue, allowing administration without a drink of water.
How to use
With dry hands, remove the tablet from its packaging and place it on the tongue. Allow it to dissolve and swallow with saliva; water is not required.
How it works
Ondansetron blocks 5-HT3 receptors in the gut and central nervous system, reducing nausea and vomiting signals.
Side effects
Possible effects include headache, constipation, dizziness, flushing, or fatigue. Urgent review is needed for abnormal heartbeat symptoms, serotonin-syndrome features, severe allergy, or signs of bowel obstruction.

Why must ondansetron not be combined with apomorphine?
The combination can cause a profound fall in blood pressure and loss of consciousness. Tell the treatment team if you use apomorphine for Parkinson's disease so that a different anti-sickness treatment can be considered.
