Alfuzosin 10mg + Tadalafil 2.5mg is a fixed combination for lower urinary-tract symptoms associated with benign prostate enlargement. It combines two smooth-muscle-relaxing mechanisms to help urinary flow, frequency and hesitancy.
How to use
Take the extended-release tablet after the same meal each day and swallow it whole. Do not crush, chew or split it. This continuing urinary-symptom regimen is not a tablet to take repeatedly before sexual activity.
How it works
Alfuzosin reduces alpha-1-mediated muscle tone around the prostate and bladder outlet. Tadalafil inhibits PDE5, supporting cyclic-GMP-mediated smooth-muscle relaxation in the lower urinary tract.
Side effects
Headache, dizziness, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, back pain or low blood pressure can occur. Fainting, sudden vision or hearing loss, or a painful erection lasting over four hours needs urgent care.
Important information
Do not combine with nitrate medicines, recreational nitrites or riociguat because blood pressure can fall dangerously. Do not add a separate tadalafil, sildenafil or another alpha-blocker. Heart disease, recent stroke, severe liver or kidney impairment and cataract-surgery plans are important before treatment.

- Lower urinary-tract symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Benefits
May improve urinary flow and reduce bothersome urinary symptoms through complementary actions. It does not directly remove prostate tissue or treat prostate cancer.
Can I take a separate erectile-dysfunction tablet with this combination?
Do not add one independently. The tablet already contains tadalafil, and extra PDE5 inhibition can increase headache, prolonged erections and low blood pressure.
What should I do if chest pain occurs after taking it?
Seek urgent care and tell the emergency team when tadalafil was last taken. Do not use a nitrate chest-pain medicine yourself because the combination can cause dangerous hypotension.
Does the 2.5mg tadalafil amount make this the same as an on-demand erectile-dysfunction dose?
No. This fixed product is a continuing urinary-symptom treatment. On-demand erectile-dysfunction regimens use a different treatment plan.
Does improved urine flow mean the prostate has become smaller?
Not necessarily. Both ingredients mainly change smooth-muscle tone. Their symptom benefit does not demonstrate a reduction in prostate size.
