Product Introduction

Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate 100mg is an injectable corticosteroid used when rapid steroid effect is needed or oral treatment cannot be used. Hydrocortisone sodium succinate may be used for adrenal insufficiency or adrenal crisis, severe allergic reactions, acute asthma or COPD exacerbations, shock or inflammatory conditions requiring corticosteroid therapy, and other specialist-directed uses. It replaces or supplements cortisol activity and reduces inflammation and immune overactivity. Longer or repeated use adds risks such as adrenal suppression, bone loss, cataracts, glaucoma, muscle weakness, skin thinning, and delayed wound healing. It should not be stopped abruptly after ongoing therapy.
