Estradiol Valerate 10mg Injection
SKU GME172
Product Introduction
Estradiol Valerate 10mg / 1mL is an injectable estrogen preparation used when estradiol valerate therapy is prescribed. It may be prescribed for moderate to severe menopausal vasomotor symptoms, estrogen-deficiency states, selected hypoestrogenism indications, or other specialist-guided hormone regimens. Estradiol valerate is converted to estradiol, replacing estrogen activity in target tissues.
How to use
Estradiol Valerate 10mg / 1mL is given by IM injection as prescribed by a healthcare professional or by trained self-administration if explicitly taught. Keep follow-up visits for symptom control, bleeding pattern, blood pressure, and risk review.
How it works
Estradiol valerate is an ester prodrug that is converted to estradiol. Estradiol binds estrogen receptors and replaces estrogen activity in tissues affected by deficiency.
Common side effects
Possible effects include breast tenderness, headache, nausea, bloating, mood change, injection-site pain, fluid retention, and spotting. Serious warning signs include chest pain, shortness of breath, leg swelling, severe headache, vision changes, breast lump, jaundice, or unusual vaginal bleeding.
Important information
Review clot history, stroke, heart disease, breast or endometrial cancer risk, unexplained bleeding, liver disease, gallbladder disease, migraine, high triglycerides, pregnancy, breastfeeding, smoking, and whether progestogen is needed if uterus is present.
Uses
Systemic estrogen therapy for menopausal symptoms or estrogen-deficiency states when injectable estradiol valerate is prescribed.
Benefits
Provides systemic estrogen replacement through a depot injection route for selected patients who need or prefer injectable therapy under specialist supervision.
What is Estradiol Valerate 10mg / 1mL used for?

Can Estradiol Valerate 10mg / 1mL be used during pregnancy?
No. Systemic estrogen therapy should not be used during pregnancy.
Why is unexplained vaginal bleeding important?
Bleeding should be evaluated before estrogen therapy because it may signal endometrial or other gynecologic disease.
