Product Introduction

Tranexamic acid 1000mg is an antifibrinolytic medicine used to reduce abnormal or excessive bleeding for tranexamic acid treatment. It helps stabilize formed blood clots by blocking plasminogen activation and reducing fibrin breakdown. It may be prescribed for heavy menstrual bleeding, dental-procedure bleeding risk, nosebleeds, and selected surgical or urologic bleeding situations depending on the clinical setting. It does not treat the underlying cause of bleeding, so persistent, unexplained, very heavy, or postmenopausal bleeding needs medical assessment.

How to use

Take Tranexamic acid 1000mg only for the bleeding episode and schedule prescribed. Do not extend treatment or combine with hormonal/clotting therapies unless the prescriber approves.

How it works

Tranexamic acid inhibits fibrinolysis, helping prevent premature breakdown of blood clots at bleeding sites.

Common side effects

Possible effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and visual symptoms. Serious concerns include blood clots, severe allergy, seizures at high exposure, and urinary obstruction from clots in selected bleeding sites.
