Progesterone 8% Vaginal Gel supports the uterine lining during selected assisted-reproduction treatment cycles. It provides hormone support when the ovaries do not supply enough progesterone for the treatment plan.
How to use
Insert the prefilled applicator into the vagina and release the scheduled gel application. Use each applicator once and discard it after use. Gel residue can remain after the hormone has been absorbed; it is not a reason to apply an extra dose.
How it works
Absorbed progesterone stimulates progesterone receptors in the endometrium, supporting its secretory development during luteal support.
Side effects
Vaginal discharge, irritation, breast tenderness, abdominal discomfort, headache or spotting can occur.
Important information
Unexplained vaginal bleeding, liver disease and thromboembolic history require assessment. Severe pelvic pain or heavy bleeding needs prompt clinical review.
