Perindopril Erbumine 4mg + Indapamide 1.25mg Tablets

Product Introduction

Perindopril Erbumine 4mg + Indapamide 1.25mg combines an ACE inhibitor with a thiazide-like diuretic for high blood pressure. It provides complementary vascular and salt-balance effects when combination antihypertensive treatment is needed.

How to use

Take in the morning before food and swallow with water. Morning dosing also limits night-time urination from indapamide. Blood pressure, kidney function, sodium and potassium are monitored after important treatment changes.

How it works

Perindopril reduces angiotensin II formation and relaxes blood vessels. Indapamide promotes renal salt and water excretion and has additional vascular effects that reduce blood pressure.

Side effects

Dizziness, cough, low blood pressure, muscle cramps and electrolyte disturbances may occur. Severe weakness, palpitations, fainting or tongue swelling needs urgent assessment.

Important information

Pregnancy, previous ACE-inhibitor angioedema, dehydration and significant renal impairment are important risks. Lithium can accumulate. The ingredients do not reliably balance potassium: either high or low potassium can occur.
