Product Introduction

Nicorandil 5mg is an antianginal medicine used to prevent or reduce stable angina symptoms for nicorandil treatment, often when first-line antianginal options are not enough or are not tolerated. It helps widen blood vessels through nitrate-like activity and opening of ATP-sensitive potassium channels, reducing cardiac workload and improving blood supply. Nicorandil is not for sudden emergency relief of chest pain unless a clinician has specifically instructed its role; patients with acute or changing chest pain need urgent assessment. A distinctive safety concern is ulceration, which can affect the mouth, stomach, intestines, anus, genitals, skin, or eyes and may become severe or complicated if treatment continues. Nicorandil must not be combined with PDE-5 inhibitors such as sildenafil, tadalafil, or vardenafil, or with riociguat, because severe blood-pressure drops may occur.

How to use

Take Nicorandil 5mg exactly as prescribed, usually on a regular schedule for angina prevention. Do not combine with erectile-dysfunction PDE-5 inhibitors. Report any persistent ulcers promptly.
