Product Introduction

Linaclotide 145mcg is a guanylate cyclase-C agonist used for chronic constipation conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome with constipation or chronic idiopathic constipation for linaclotide treatment. It is not a rescue laxative for immediate relief and is not meant for occasional constipation without evaluation. Linaclotide works locally in the intestine to increase chloride and bicarbonate secretion, drawing fluid into the bowel and helping stool movement while also reducing visceral pain signaling in IBS-C. The medicine is generally taken on an empty stomach before the first meal, and capsules/tablets should be used exactly as directed because opening or sprinkling directions vary by formulation. It should not be used in known or suspected mechanical gastrointestinal obstruction and is contraindicated in young pediatric patients because serious dehydration risk has been seen in animal studies.

How to use

Take Linaclotide 145mcg exactly as prescribed, commonly once daily on an empty stomach before the first meal. Do not use extra laxatives unless advised. Report severe or persistent diarrhea.
