SKU GME582Dicyclomine injection is an antimuscarinic antispasmodic used for functional bowel or irritable-bowel-related cramping when an injectable approach is appropriate. It relieves spasm but does not treat an intestinal infection or bowel obstruction.

Can this injection go into a vein?
No. Inadvertent intravenous administration can cause thrombosis and serious tissue reactions.
Will it treat diarrhoea caused by infection?
No. Reducing cramps does not eradicate a pathogen, and some diarrhoeal illnesses make anticholinergic treatment unsafe.
Why can hot weather be a problem?
Reduced sweating can lead to overheating; fever, confusion or hot dry skin need assessment.
Can I drive after receiving it?
Wait until any drowsiness, dizziness and blurred vision have resolved.
Is increasing abdominal swelling a reason to repeat it?
No. Distension, persistent vomiting or failure to pass stool can indicate obstruction and need assessment.
Can antihistamines worsen its effects?
Sedating antihistamines and other anticholinergic medicines can increase dry mouth, confusion and urinary retention.
What symptoms suggest an eye emergency?
Severe eye pain, halos and sudden blurred vision can indicate acute glaucoma.
Why are injection and oral doses not directly interchangeable?
Absorption differs by route; changing between them requires a new prescribed schedule.
