How it works
Amlodipine relaxes arterial smooth muscle by blocking calcium entry. Perindopril reduces angiotensin II formation and related vasoconstriction, providing complementary blood-pressure lowering.
Side effects
Ankle swelling, flushing, headache, dizziness, dry cough and increased potassium may occur. Tongue or throat swelling, fainting or severe chest symptoms need urgent assessment.
Important information
Do not use during pregnancy. Previous ACE-inhibitor angioedema, severe hypotension and significant kidney disease are important. Kidney function and potassium are monitored. Sacubitril-containing treatment and potassium-raising medicines require particular interaction attention.

Can Amlodipine 10mg + Perindopril Erbumine 8mg cause ankle swelling?
Amlodipine can cause peripheral oedema. New swelling should be assessed rather than automatically treated with an extra diuretic.
